The Sleepypod Story -
We want to make our pets as comfortable as possible at all times. At home we provide safe places for our pets to retire to when tired or scared. But, when we traveled with our pets the best we could do was pet crates and cages. Usually they are hard plastic boxes with ventilation holes and a door. Our pets are unfamiliar with the pet carrier and associate it with frightening events such as being locked in the baggage compartment of a public transportation vehicle or traveling to the veterinarian's office.
When at home and on the go, the Sleepypod provides your pet with a level of familiarity and comfort beyond what any other pet carrier can provide.
At Home -While at home, your pet builds a positive association with the Sleepypod as a bed and play area.
The optional warmer uses only 6.5 Watts of power. An internal thermostat keeps the temperature at around 102F when in use. The UL approved power adapter with quick disconnect cord is rated for 100-240 volts and 50 or 60 Hz and has the USA standard prongs. When not using the warmer, either remove it from the Sleepypod or simply tuck the connector inside the bedding to prevent your pet from chewing on the cord.
On the Go - When traveling, your pet will feel at home no matter where they go. The removable shoulder strap makes it easy carry your pet. When in the car, wind the seatbelt through the strap to keep the Sleepypod form sliding around. The Sleepypod is not approved for use on the airplane, but we are working on it.
Caring for your Sleepypod - Our mobile bed system for your cat or small dog is made for years of dependable use. The shearling bedding should be machine washed, in cold water on the gentle cycle with like colors, do not use bleach and tumble dry on low, do not iron). All the other components can be wiped clean with a damp cloth, but should not be machine washed.
